Clan sign big D man, Machesney EIHL player of the week

Sooo Braehead Clan have signed big Canadian D man Craig Cescon who will play v Sheffield Steelers on Saturday night.

Craig played for coach Paul Gardner last season so Paulrus knows exactly what he is getting and knows the guy can fit and do something. Clan certainly need some muscle and, as Craig has already beaten the likes if Colt King on the ice,he is sure tk become a fan favourite as he will balance the skill already at clan with the necessary physical presence to at least make teams think before they bully the team, something that has been needed at Braehead all season!

Well done ClanTowers!

Sadly, the announcement on the website contained the now obligatory “I am delighted to join the Clan and play in the EIHL. I have heard nothing but good things about the organization from guys who have played there. I can’t wait to get on the ice and play for the Clan.”

Come on Clan,at least put something different in there!!! The use of find/replace and copy/paste in Word is no longer impressive and, quite frankly, you are insulting your fanbase big time!!

If you can’t think of anything original then just say the guy has signed and interview will follow with some basic background info, that’s all we want, honestly!!

Complaints about PR aside…this is a fantastic signing and congrats to all at Braehead Clan for acting so quickly to fill the gap left bh ghe departure of Davide Nicoletti!

Can hardly wait for the Sheffield Steelers in Saturday followed by Edinburgh Capitals away on Sunday in the gardiner conference now!

Ohhh and this weeks player if the week at EIHL?? Clan’s own goalie Daren Machesney! Well deserved award, 94% saves and no doubt he played a major part in steadying the Clan ship as forwards were no longer scared to stay forward and got 4 straight wins! Congrats Daren!!!
