Rollercoaster weekend for Clan

It’s not easy being a Braehead Clan fan as the last 4 days shows.

Thursday saw us comprehensively outshot in Belfast but grabbing a point v Giants in a 4-3 OT loss, Saturday the Edinburgh Capitals gained their first ever win at Braehead triumphing 4-3 in regulation despite Clan outshooting them and leading 3-1 at one point. So last night it was away to Fife Flyers, this time back up goalie Mike Will started in the net and played a blinder as the game went to penalty shoot out after a 2-2 draw. Clan prevailed after Krestanovic scored and Will saved all 3 Flyers pens and made sure Clan ended 2012 on a high. Rollercoaster ride right enough.

Short benched for most of the season to date, Clan stated they will shortly be announcing a “number of signings” which can only be good news and welcomed by all!

Finally, I have to mention the Kelsey Wilson *discipline* issued by the EIHL for *that* hit. Shocking hit verging on out and out pre-meditated assault and the EIHL really bottled it in giving only the minimum sentence of a 3 match ban. Effectively a week off. Makes you wonder what has to happen to get a 4 match ban?

Anyway, wishing all a very healthy and prosperous 2013!
